As it turns out, Supernatural showrunner Eric Kripke must be a massive Doctor Who fan, as he's also snuck nods to the show into another of his hit programmes, The Boys.

Based on the comic-book series of the same name, The Boys takes place in a world where superheroes are marketed like celebrities, which engorges their egos to the point where they will do utterly awful things because they know they can get away with it. It's up to a team of non-supes, led by the fabulously foul-mouthed Billy Butcher, to stop them.

In Season 2 Episode 3, the "good guys" (which is a relative term) are travelling via boat when they're attacked by a swarm of sharks, controlled by Aquaman rip-off The Deep.

In this scene, Frenchie is wearing a t-shirt with a cat design on the front of it. But that's not just any cat – it's a feline version of Jodie Whittaker's Thirteenth Doctor. As discovered by Radio Times, this same shirt was even available to buy online at the time.

You might think you're a Doctor Who superfan, but have you ever worn a cat-based Who t-shirt while fighting off man-eating sharks?

Didn't think so.
