This was the NXT match that carried the title of being Dave Meltzer's favourite for more than three years before seeing its crown taken by the aforementioned Almas versus Gargano bout - and it's not difficult to see why.

Taking on three of WWE's brightest young stars (all of whom, like him, have for various reasons failed to fulfill their potential on the main roster), Neville put his NXT Title on the line in a genuinely hypnotising fatal four-way.

It was the kind of match that was just impossible take your eyes off. There were barely any moments of inactivity; as soon as one guy slid out of the ring another would pop up instantly to replace him, seamlessly keeping up with the break-neck speed at which they were competing.

The finish, as you would expect, was absolutely on point, with Neville interrupting a pin attempt by Zayn at the death before hitting an incapacitated Kidd with a fierce Red Arrow. The Man That Gravity Forgot has simply never looked better.
