10 Best WWE Hidden Gems In 2018

1. Drew McIntyre Vs. Finn Bálor Vs. Roman Reigns (Raw - 16 July)

The same goes for the first of two Triple Threats on the 16 July edition of Raw.

No, Roman Reigns' critics won't be enamoured by his victory, and yes, it is weird that the match topped anything at Extreme Rules the night before. Still, Reigns, Drew McIntyre and Finn Bálor should each get medals for mastering the art of a WWE three-way without bowing down to the one in, one out traditions of the match format.

Both Bálor and, impressively, McIntyre performed big dives over the top rope, and there was no time to draw breath before the threesome sank their teeth into another frantic spot. In 21-22 minutes, these three guys did what Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins and Elias failed to later. They stole the show and sold the importance of their match.

Reigns advanced to a final (against Lashley) to determine Brock Lesnar's contender for the Universal Title, and Drew proved he belonged at the top of the card. So did Bálor, mind you, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that WWE struggle to book him with any sense of consistency.
