6. Owen Hart
In the sixth spot comes a very underrated King of the Ring winner: Owen Hart.
In a brilliant piece of storytelling, 'The Rocket' had to win the tournament in order to have another shot at his brother, Bret.
He had already done that, yes. But later that very same night, Bret won the WWF Championship, leaving Owen "in his shadow", where he had been all his career.
In order to receive a shot, Owen cheated (with the help of Jim Neidhart) to defeat Razor Ramon in the final and become the number one contender.
'The Rocket', who was now 'The King of Harts', challenged Bret at SummerSlam in one of the best WWE Championship matches of all time.
Even though Owen lost in the end (which is what leaves him out of our top five) everything about this program was pro wrestling at its finest.
