10 Big Vince McMahon Arguments With Top WWE Stars

7. Mick Foley

Mick Foley is a passionate individual, which is very clear to anyone who follows his posts on social media. Opinionated to the end, the artist formerly known as Mankind, Cactus Jack and Dude Love wanted to try something different in 2008. Jonathan Coachman had left WWE, leaving a hole behind the Smackdown announce desk. Eager to try his hand at announcing, Foley took the gig. As he would later reveal, this was something he'd come to regret. Vince McMahon is known to camp out backstage, feeding his announcers lines through their headsets. For Foley, that wasn't a problem, but he didn't envision being shouted at whilst he was trying to do his job. Watching pretty much any show with Mick on announce duties makes it clear he's not having a good time. Confronting McMahon about the situation backstage, the pair argued back and forth. Eventually, Foley reasoned that he'd deserved more respect, and would be better off leaving the company. That's exactly what happened, and the veteran star joined TNA. It'd take years before he and Vince mended fences, re-establishing their lost relationship.
