10 Biggest Moments In The History Of WWE Backlash

9. Shane's Other Bump (2001)

In terms of in-ring action, Shane McMahon is best known for a pair of bumps over a decade apart. The first, at Summerslam 2000, saw the boss' son plummet from the side of the TitanTron during a hardcore bout with Steve Blackman. The second was that already-iconic cell dive at WrestleMania 32, the high point of an otherwise disappointing event.

However, a moment which often goes overlooked came in his Backlash 2001 match with the Big Show. It was a sloppy encounter in all honesty, a plodding Last Man Standing match interrupted by interferences from Vince and Test. However, the ending was dramatic (and terrifying) enough to help fans forget all that came before.

Shane scaled the side of the Backlash set, but this time his fall was a deliberate piece of offence. He launched himself into an eye-popping senton, crushing Big Show and leaving both men down for the count. Thankfully for Shane, Test was on hand to lever his buddy back onto his feet (with the help of a nearby camera jib).
