Admittedly, Dwayne Johnson was just in the wrong place at the wrong time to raise CM Punk's ire. For years, Punk felt he was due a headline match at WrestleMania. Apparently, he felt that 2013 would finally be his year, a time when he would feature in the closing bout at 'Mania XXIX. That didn't happen, John Cena headlined opposite The Rock instead. Worse yet for Punk, he was asked to drop his lengthy WWE Title run at the Royal Rumble. Losing to The Rock, he was shoe-horned into a crack at The Undertaker's WrestleMania winning streak, something still intact in 2013. This didn't seem to placate the man, even though WWE supposedly felt it would. Punk wanted that main event slot badly, but he'd never get it. Due to his frustration, probably upon finding out about plans for The Rock upon his return in 2011, Punk went into rant mode. During a 2011 interview with The Hot Click, he claimed that he didn't like the way Johnson handled himself in the locker room. WWE can't have been happy about this, because Punk was bitching about someone they were featuring in main events once again.
