Cena and Lesnar clashed many times over a decade ago (a feud which was largely responsible for elevating Cena into a main event star) yet they arguably enjoyed their most compelling pair of matches in more recent years. The initial clash, Brock's first since returning the night after WrestleMania 28, was widely criticised for its booking (which saw Cena win in an admittedly great encounter). Many felt Lesnar should have been kept strong upon his return, rather than lose immediately to a firmly established megastar. Any fears that Cena would also win their 2014 rematch at SummerSlam were demolished, as Lesnar dominated the biggest wrestler of a generation in a way few would have thought possible. A crunching series of suplexes and F-5s put Cena down with little resistance - at least relative to his "never give up" mantra - and firmly established Brock as the most dangerous man in the WWE.
