As the #1 overall pick in the WWE draft, Seth Rollins has some billing (some real, some storyline) to live up to. WWE clearly believes in him as a top-level performer, or else he would have been drafted further down the line. By making him the top pick, WWE gave him a storyline reason to be a prominent player.

Despite losing the WWE Championship match at Battleground, Rollins wasn’t pinned, and he’s been inserted into the finals for the new WWE Universal Championship match at SummerSlam. In the interim, can Rollins continue to make strides as a character and performer? Since returning from injury, Seth has stood more on his own, relying less on authority figures and others to help him, shedding the chickens*** heel persona that defined his world title reign last year.

Will that trend continue on Monday, or could Rollins regress now that he has a new top challenger in Finn Balor?
