10 Current Superstars That Are Future WWE Main Eventers

1. Dean Ambrose

With all the injuries plaguing the 2016 Road To WrestleMania, the WWE superstar that has benefited the most, in terms of their position on the card, has undoubtedly been Dean Ambrose. After winning the Intercontinental Championship from Kevin Owens at the TLC PPV last December, Ambrose retained the title in a physical Last Man Standing Match at the 2016 Royal Rumble. Later in the evening, he entered the Royal Rumble Match and survived all the way 'til the end and became the runner-up when he was the last man eliminated by Triple H. Since then, he has been positioned in the main event against Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar at WWE Fastlane. He's already seeing at least a cup of coffee in the main event, but his post-WrestleMania plans, which could involve a long-anticipated heel turn against his former Shield partner, might mean a longer stay atop the WWE main event scene. He's going to get a legitimate chance, and probably sooner than anyone else.
