10 Dream Wrestling Matches (That We Really Needed To Happen This Decade)

4. Daniel Bryan Vs. Kurt Angle

If you look at any list of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, it's highly likely that you would find both Kurt Angle and Daniel Bryan's names on there. Two of the most outstanding performers to ever take the WWE (and the world of professional wrestling) by storm, they stood out among their respective generations for their sheer in-ring talent and the quality of their matches.

The ironic thing here is that Angle's tenure in WWE essentially bookended Bryan's entire WWE career. That's right, the 'Yes! Man' had risen through the ranks, produced countless incredible offerings, main-evented WrestleMania and retired during the time between Angle's departure and return to WWE. However, Bryan's miraculous return to the ring in 2018 made this dream match seem a little more possible. Naturally, the-powers-that-be completely missed the opportunity to make it happen.

With Angle now retired, it's unlikely that we'll ever see this one take this place, and perhaps that's for the best because, due to his advanced age and fragility in the ring, it was never going to be the classic that it could have been had it taken place much earlier in his career. That said, the fact that WWE failed to pull the trigger on it when both of them were GMs of dueling brands in the lead-up to Bryan's in-ring return really does boggle the mind.
