10 DVDs WWE Are Considering For 2017
6. Best Of 1997: 20th Anniversary
1997 was a truly terrific year to be a WWE fan. Raw was as unpredictable as it has ever been: Stone Cold Steve Austin was emerging in full force, ECW briefly 'invaded' the company in one of the better but lesser-heralded periods of the Monday Night Wars, and then, for better or worse, there was the Montréal Screwjob, as the nascent Attitude Era moved into top gear.
2017 is, as maths fans will attest, twenty years since this most glorious of years, so what better way to celebrate than an Anniversary disk?
It's just a shame that of all the years in WWE history, 1997 is probably the one with most lip-service paid to it by talent in warts-and-all documentaries. What more new is there to be said? Combined with the fact that basically all the in-ring content is available on the Network, and you have a DVD that though likely to be rich in quality, might be somewhat superfluous.
