10 Finishing Moves Too Awesome For WWE

2. Chuck Taylor - Awful Waffle

Chuck Taylor is a serious wrestler.

Okay, Chuck Taylor might not always be a serious wrestler, and there aren't many more accomplished comedy wrestlers on the planet today. Check out his Instagram if you don't believe me. He has been around seemingly forever, making his debut in 2002 and performing for CHIKARA, PWG and many others.

His finishing move is the delightfully-named Awful Waffle (or Omega Driver). Another variation of the piledriver, this one starts from a leg hook belly-to-back position, before the victim is lifted up, spun around and dropped directly onto their head.

The juxtaposition of the frequently comedic wrestler with this serious-as-heck move is one of the reasons Taylor is one of the most sought-after performers on the circuit. Currently taking time off, here's hoping he is back sooner rather than later.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
