10 Former WWE Stars Who Must Return For One More Match

7. Hulk Hogan

Why It Should Happen: Because it's Hulk freakin' Hogan. One of the biggest stars ever, a match featuring him will always create audience interest. Even though most of Hogan's matches over the past twenty years have followed the same formula, fans still want to see it. It's a recipe that works. Hogan's last WWE match was against Randy Orton at the 2006 SummerSlam. The match was what it was (Hogan was banged-up going in but refused to pull out). There were rumours of further Hogan matches in the years afterwards but his joining TNA put paid to that. Hogan's last match period was against Sting at TNA's Bound for Glory 2011. Hogan moved better than he had in years, which he credited to long-overdue back surgery. Their match was an exercise in milking every possible move, hold and expression for everything it was worth. It was great, when witness through nostalgiac eyes. Could Hogan have a similar outing for his WWE swan song? What Are The Odds: Not likely. If WWE were going to book Hogan in a match it probably would have done so by now. With every passing the month the odds of a Hogan comeback get less and less likely. He'll be 62 in August and has a catalogue of injuries. The odds of him passing a WWE physical are slim. Still, Hogan would be willing, should WWE give him the call. In an interview with the Cincianatti Enquirer in January 2015, Hogan said:
I€™m training like I€™m gonna get a shot at the world title next week, so I€™m in great shape. I€™m back down under 300 pounds, down to 295, training every day at the gym. I€™m ready for the call of duty if they need me.
He's ready, brother.
