10 Former WWE Stars Who Should Return In 2018

5. Michelle McCool

Few fans would've pinpointed Michelle McCool as a potential standout in the historic first women's Royal Rumble prior to the event, even when the dirtsheets unveiled her and Molly Holly as the first two 'surprise' entrants.

That she entered with such little fanfare but looked so great, even seven years after her last match, came completely out of nowhere. Not even Nia Jax could equal McCool's total of five eliminations, and while there was no clamour for her to return beforehand, Michelle's presentation and performance in the Royal Rumble proves she has enough left in the tank for one last run.

It's hard to tell how McCool would stack up to the likes of Sasha Banks in one-on-one competition, but she was always underrated between the ropes. The challenge would be convincing her to come out of what is likely a comfortable retirement. Still, with the right offer, it's hard to imagine Michelle saying "no," and it'd make great sense to at least pull her back in to work a summer program against a young up-and-comer, either on Raw, SmackDown, or down in NXT.
