10 Greatest Paul Heyman Creations
2. The Beast Incarnate
Brock Lesnar is an island unto himself in WWE. A legitimate badass and a proven box office commodity, he has become the Mike Tyson of pro wrestling, largely thanks to the guidance of Paul Heyman.
At the suggestion of Taz, Heyman began subtly mentoring Brock in early 2002. Sensing the chemistry and synergy of the duo, Vince McMahon made the union official by pairing them up on TV. Heyman became Brock's manager - referred to as an "agent" on TV, further adding to the sportsman-like feel of Lesnar - and within six months of his arrival, 'The Next Big Thing' (a name given to him by Heyman) was WWE Undisputed Champion.
While Brock would leave WWE in 2004, the two stayed in touch and Heyman even helped him write his autobiography in 2011. When Brock made his return to WWE in 2012, it was only only a matter of time until Heyman made his return as well.
An advocate in real-life as well as on-screen, Heyman is the secret ingredient that completes the Lesnar character. Without him, Lesnar is missing a vital part of the presentation - a fact proven when Brock returned solo in 2012 - and Heyman's presence as Lesnar's hype man, confidant, and guide is imperative in maintaining Lesnar's mystique as 'The Beast'.
