Chris Jericho is a walking catchphrase machine. Everything the man says is ready to go on a million t-shirts worn by fans across the globe. He says in his first book A Lions Tale that when he was in WCW he had a method for sussing out what would and wouldnt become a catchphrase. If he said something one week, and saw a sign in the crowd the next week, he knew he was on to something. Thats how he came up with lines like The Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla and I Want You To Want Me! (taken from the Cheap Trick song) but knew to not bother with ones like Wocka Wocka Wocka When he crossed over to WWF, he was ready to steal the spotlight. For months, the Countdown to the Millenium clock ran on Monday Night Raw, and it finally reached zero while The Rock, one of the biggest stars in the company, was in the ring. For the first time, WWF fans were treated to classic lines like Welcome to RAW! IS! JERICHO! and Never, eh-eh-ever be the same, again! Jericho is never one to rest on his laurels, and is constantly redefining who his character is. His early 00s character was a bratty rock star, so had the quips to match, but his latter decade character was much different. He strode out confidently in a suit and tie and plainly told the fans that I am the best in the world at what I do before backing it up in the ring.
