10 Greatest WWE Feuds Of The 90's
8. Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart

Jealousy created a schism within the Hart family that would result in a heated rivalry between brothers Bret and Owen Hart that lasted nearly three years and spawned countless Match of the Year candidates.
After a shocking turn of events at the 1994 Royal Rumble, in which the Hart brothers saw their chances of becoming tag team champions dashed following an official's decision to end their match against the Quebecers due to a knee injury suffered by Bret, it was clear that the elder brother would have to break his vow not to fight Owen. The much anticipated bout occurred at WrestleMania X and was won by the bratty younger sibling. What should have been the biggest night of his career turned into one of the most disappointing as he watched Bret celebrate with the WWE title by the end of the broadcast.
They would wrestle several rematches against one another in the months and years that followed, perhaps none as good as the Steel Cage match at SummerSlam 1994, but nothing ever really seemed settled. Bret won the majority of the bouts but Owen kept coming back like a zit on prom night. Singles matches, tag matches, match in the United States and across the globe...all great but none serving as the definitive end of the rivalry. That came in April 1997, when Bret recruited Owen and brother-in-law the British Bulldog in reforming the Hart Foundation. Together, they would dominate WWE for most of the year and ignite a rivalry between the US and Canada that was as hot as any patriotic angle before or since.
