10 Greatest WWE Sellers Of All Time

1. Shawn Michaels

You'll have to take HBK's inclusion in this list with a grain of salt, especially if you can easily recall one of the many times he over-sold to make his opponent look foolish (no, Hulk Hogan wasn't the only one to get that treatment...though his was probably the most satisfying to watch).

But even when he was over-selling, he was entertaining as all hell. In part because he was so astoundingly athletic right up until he retired from the ring, and in part because it just worked with his character.

Even as far back as his Hell in a Cell match with The Undertaker, Shawn understood what it meant to tell a story while taking a beating.

And as he grew into a more mature person behind-the-scenes, his performances in the ring rose to Rembrandt levels of artistry. Not because his aerial maneuvers got more pointed or because his Sweet Chin Music looked deadlier, but because he became one of the greatest defensive-related storytellers in the business.

It was really like watching a more physically demanding version of Who's Line Is It Anyway. Pick a specific wrestling move out of a hat and watch Shawn provide the absolute best reaction to that move.

As great as HBK looks when he's in the driver's seat, he sometimes looks even better when he's the guy in the crosswalk getting crushed in a hit-and-run.
