10 Guests Stone Cold Steve Austin Must Have On His WWE Podcast In 2016
5. Pat Patterson
This is potentially the most interesting entry in this countdown, as Patterson was as close to Vince McMahon as any WWE employee has been. Ever. Pat is widely recognised as the first ever Intercontinental Champion, but he's also - and arguably more importantly - one of the few creative team members from the Attitude Era. Personally, I just want Pat and Steve to sit and talk about the poolside meetings that took place at Vince's house. These were the creative meetings - that sometimes also had the likes of Jim Ross involved - that shaped some of the longest and most compelling tales in the sport's history. It would also be great to hear Pat's take on the current state of WWE's creative. Instead of a few brilliant 'wrestling minds' working together like it was during his day, seemingly hundreds of 'entertainment producers' who don't have any idea about the intricacies of the business are writing the content for the Superstars of today. Although, I do concede that Pat's view may be a bit blinkered as he still works for WWE's creative staff in a consultancy role. However, hearing about the thought process - as weird as that sounds - that went into producing the Attitude Era should make for a must see hour of television.
