As anyone who has followed Mickie James at any point in her near 25-year career can tell you, the multi-talented wrestler and country singer has never been fat. Unfortunately, back in 2009 the myopic misogynists in charge of WWE's Divas Division decided that, because Mickie looked like an athlete instead of a supermodel, she was overweight and therefore fair game for bullying on national television.

The Piggy James debacle has long been an exemplar of why the Diva's Division is seen as a low point in WWE history. James spent months being bullied by Michelle McCool and Layla over her weight, as the duo tormented Mickie for reasons that were patently false to anyone with a functioning set of eyes.

Everyone involved hated the angle, but it just kept going. Even worse, the heels wound up winning the feud, with Mickie's sole title victory over Michelle McCool being rendered redundant when the latter won the belt back less than a month later.

Mickie would later be fired less than two months after dropping the belt, revealing in an interview with PowerSlam magazine that she was told the company was moving the women's division in a new direction.

Sadly for women's wrestling, said direction was based solely on how many fashion models John Laurinaitis - the head of the Diva's division, and a man infamous for basing a woman's worth solely on her appearance - could get his skeevy little hands on.
