9. Ricochet

More than a few eyebrows were raised when news broke recently of an often disrespected and/or under-utilised, out of this world performer being remarkably viewed as the number two babyface on Friday nights.

But instead of quickly making a mockery of said reports, WWE only went and strapped Ricochet with the Intercontinental Championship and gifted the ever-impressive high flyer with arguably his strongest main roster spell to date.

And with the company appearing to finally realise the true worth of a talent of Slick Rick's undoubted ability, now feels like as good a time as any to fire The One and Only up the ladder en-route to a hopefully more successful shot at World Championship glory.

Admittedly that last attempt to present him as a credible main eventer ended in Brock Lesnar utterly chewing him up and spitting him out at Super ShowDown 2020 in 90-seconds. And previous stop-start Ricochet pushes are a reminder to perhaps not get too carried away with the former NXT North American Champion's respectable current presentation.

Yet, at a time when genuinely exciting challengers to the resident Tribal Chief are at a premium, allowing Ricochet to spread his wings further up the card would likely make for a memorable spell in the sun.
