Paul London's one and only singles title run in WWE, it began with a battle royal win on SmackDown and would have the shame of ending on Velocity, in a loss to Nunzio. The division was entering its slow road to death, which would obviously work against London.

A natural babyface, he was far ahead of all of his potential challengers in a division with no juice behind it.

The saddest part of the run was the way it ended. Juventud, Psychosis and Super Crazy had recently made their debut on SmackDown, and they actually attacked London after he defending his belt against Chavo Guerrero.

Why then, did London drop the belt on Velocity to Nunzio, a particularly strange decision as Nunzio would subsequently lose it to Juventud? London wasn't exactly popular with the higher-ups, but it seems like a long-winded way to get the belt onto Juvi.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man.
