10 Main Eventers Who SUCKED At Great Moves (But Did Them Anyway)

6. Seth Rollins - Rain-Trigger

In contrast to Kazuchika Okada, Seth Rollins doesn't have the reputation of a performer that can force something through against the original wishes of his audience. His Pedigree never belonged outside of the Triple H feud that predicated it, and various attempts to plug the gap the Curb Stomp left behind (until it was allowed back out of its box in 2018) made for some awkward tacked-on endings in his various singles and tag successes.

The worst of these was a finisher that has today remained part of his general repertoire despite losing much of its initial impact. Hilariously referred to as "THE KNEE" by Michael Cole in his LOUDEST VOICE but also labelled the Ripcord Knee and King's Landing at various points over the last year, Rollins' robbery of Kenny Omega's Rain-Trigger lacked the hubris and heft of 'The Cleaner's original creation.

A combination of his and future rival Okada's heaviest hits, the move was a shot across the bow to 'The Rainmaker' long before the pair made magic together. In Rollins' wrist control, it was an inferior article that looked like yet another futureproof tribute to Triple H's own over-reliance on knee-based assaults.
