Eddy Guerrero's story is very similar to what Chris Jericho went through while with WCW. When Eddy arrived in ECW, you simply wanted to see him succeed on a bigger stage, and when he signed with WCW, you saw it as his shot. In WCW, Eddy simply had good match after good match after good match. At that point, it was difficult not to when you were part of the midcard, which was insanely stacked with cruiserweights from all over the globe. What helped to make Eddy stand out, like Jericho, was his natural charisma. He was able to make you care about him and his character. Unfortunately for him, he wasn't a member of the nWo, so he had a bit of a "cap" on the kind of growth he could have within the company. Through time, Eddy said he began hating wrestling. He hated going to work every night, and when you're someone who grew up in the wrestling business, that's especially bad. A story came out that Eddy had a closed door meeting with Eric Bischoff that ended up in a heated argument, finally leading to Bischoff throwing a cup of coffee in Eddy's direction. When Eddy, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn and Chris Benoit all got fed up with their treatment in WCW and "jumped ship" to the WWF, they all pretty much talked about the "night and day" differences between both companies. In WCW, you never had any idea who was running things, and you could ask ten authority figures a question, where you would receive ten different answers, usually contradicting each other. In the WWF, it's been Vince McMahon that was the boss, and everyone knew it. Like Jericho, Guerrero went on to become a huge star working for Titan, turning himself into one of the most beloved men in the history of the business, and doing so after WCW went out of business, while Eric Bischoff was nothing more than a fellow employee. That had to be sweet.
