7. Jon Jones And Daniel Cormier Square Off At A Media Event
Of all the rivalries in the history of combat sports, few have been as heated and vitriolic as the one between Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones. What began as Jones making a cheeky comment about how he believed he could take down the former Olympic wrestler before Cormier was even in the UFC, devolved into a true blood-feud where seemingly no topic was off-limits.
So when Cormier dropped down to 205lbs with the express intention of taking Jones' title, a clash between the pair was inevitable. However, while the pair would finally step foot in the cage in January 2015, they would not wait that long to get their hands on one another.
During an event at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Jones and DC faced off in front of the media, with the staredown immediately devolving into a full-blown street fight, with former UFC executive Dave Sholler being hilariously shoved aside as the pair attempted to get at each other.
