10 Most Dangerous Wrestling Finishers Ever

10. Shooting Star Press

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGxtTGf3fH0 The shooting star press is doubly dangerous, as it not only carries the risk of injuring the recipient but also the person doing it. This is something that Brock Lesnar, who famously botched the move in the main event of WrestleMania XIX, knows only two well. He almost paralysed himself when he mistimed the jump and came crashing down on his head and neck. The shooting star (a jumping forwards back flip) was invented by Jushin Liger, who abandoned using the move in the mid-90s after he was diagnosed with a brain tumour. He knew that it was no longer worth the risk to his health, since the room for error was so small. The next person to regularly do the move was WCW cruiserweight standout and modern day WWE producer Billy Kidman, whose execution of the move was hit-and-miss at the best of times. Kidman's SSP was erratic and he often ended up hurting himself and his opponent. Kidman famously knocked Chavo Guerrero out cold with the move at the August 24th Smackdown taping. It was a scary situation, and one of reasons why Vince eventually outlawed the move in mid-2005. Exceptional body control is most definitely needed to pull of a safe shooting star press.
