10 Most One-Sided Brutal Beatdowns In UFC History

1. Cain Velasquez Vs. Antonio Silva I - UFC 146

Although the UFC's heavyweight division is full of scary individuals with absurd power, you'll struggle to find a heavyweight that's more frightening than Cain Velasquez. He might be in the WWE ring nowadays, but in his prime, Velasquez was arguably the greatest heavyweight fighter to ever walk the planet.

If you look through the highlights of his career, there's plenty of evidence to suggest that that accolade is accurate. However, there's one fight in particular that truly shows how dominant and dangerous the American Kickboxing Academy product was. Taking on Antonio Silva in the Brazilian's UFC debut, Velasquez took him down within the first ten seconds of their match-up. From there on out, it was only a matter of time before the fight was over.

Velasquez unleashed a savage ground and pound assault on Silva, making him pour more blood than most fans have ever seen inside the Octagon. Every razor sharp elbow or vicious punch landed accurately, leaving Silva with a crimson mask covering his face.

Eventually the referee stepped in to stop the fight at three minutes and 36 seconds of the first round, otherwise it would've turned into a complete massacre.
