10 Most Protected WWE Moves Ever

4. 3D

It surprised me somewhat, but the Dudley Boyz 3D finish has only ever been kicked out of twice (not including La Résistance house show mishaps). Masato Tanaka did so in Extreme Championship Wrestling, as did Chris Sabin in TNA. In WWE, the only way out of the move is to be saved it would seem.

If we're talking in-canon alone, a tag team finisher should generally come with a bit more protection. After all, it is two dudes beating you down. Legion of Doom's Doomsday Device, Hart Foundation's Hart Attack, and Demolition's Demolition Decapitation all signalled the end of the game when hit, but it is the longevity of the 3D that garners it the spot on this list.

The crowd chanting "3D!" before it is hit will never get old either.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
