The pay-per-view subheadings have been perhaps the worst thing about WWE's monthly offerings this year.

Okay, some of the rematches from television days earlier or the cr*p atmospheres or the guy-getting-his-eye-extracted were the real worst things about WWE's monthly offerings this year, but the subheadings weren't half a stupid addition to shows already polluted with company double-speak and cliches.

We all know "The Risk Is Worth The Reward" with Money In The Bank because that's why the stipulation was devised in the first place. Every Clash Of Champions is a "Gold Rush" by design. You'd only need to watch about 10 seconds of the Extreme Rules main event to know it was a f*cking "Horror Show".

But fair play to the mad old carnies for SummerSlam's. "You'll Never See It Coming" was laboured upon to an extent, but few folk correctly predicted the "It", and even less guessed what course of action Roman Reigns would take having missed several months of action due to seeing the bigger picture and going home in March.

It shook the foundations of WWE all week, right up until yet more from the 'Big Dog' provided the best possible teaser ahead of his pay-per-view return...
