3. Rollins Dumps The Shield

We've all been there. You help to establish one of the most dominant three-pieces in WWE history over a period of a couple of years, and then suddenly Triple H calls you up offering you a place in The Authority's pocket, and with it a guaranteed shot at the WWE Title.

The decision that Seth Rollins made that fateful night in June 2014 was understandable in a lot of ways. He never really stood much chance of being his group's top (or perhaps "big") dog sharing the stage with someone like Roman Reigns.

And yes: The Architect always made most sense as the heel of the trio. Roman was always being groomed for the role of WWE's franchise player, while Dean had that slightly unhinged quality you associate with great baby-faces past like Mick Foley and Jeff Hardy - and one The Game may not have been able to trust.

But it was still shocking to see the former ROH upstart wrap a steel chair around the backs of his fellow Hounds of Justice after a sledgehammer-wielding Triple H made a cryptic allusion to his "plan B". Moments like these don't come around very often, and when they do we really have to savour them.
