10 Most Significant Women's Matches In WWE History
6. WWE Women's Championship: Jazz Vs. Lita Vs. Trish Stratus (WrestleMania X8)
Since the first WrestleMania, women's wrestling had struggled to earn a prominent spot on the card of the 'Grandaddy of Them All'. That was until 2002 arrived and WWE were fortunate enough to have a women's roster so strong that it would rival today's crop of stars.
Both Lita and Trish Stratus had established themselves as the top female wrestlers in the company at the time but Jazz was already turning heads having only arrived in November 2001. The ECW alumni captured the gold in February 2002 from Trish and the stage was set for this triple threat match, pitching three of the companies best female wrestlers against one another.
Although it is hardly a classic, it is hard to recall a women's match prior to this in the WWE receiving a bigger spot on a bigger card. Although it was only short, it helped usher in a new batch of female wrestlers who took the sport to a whole new level.
