10 Most Unexpected WWE Burials

5. Bayley

Bayley's burial earlier this year seems to have been a complete accident. That would make more sense, at least, than the idea of a woman (apparently) so gentle and mild-mannered getting on someone's naughty list backstage.

WWE was less interested in making Bayley look like a joke, we're told, than they were hell-bent on ensuring that Alexa Bliss would make a splash during her first few months as part of the Monday Night Raw roster.

They just went too far, though. Bliss humiliated her opposite number in the torturous This is Your Life segment, and then proceeded to win their grudge match at Extreme Rules, during which we learned that Bayley has a curious aversion to using weapons.

Fortunately for all involved, the 28-year-old is so popular that, however poor her booking, there are still large sections of the audience who will cheer her cause. Let's just hope the company aren't prepared to test that theory any further.
