10 Most Unexpected WWE Burials
4. Finn Bálor
Many of us were left scraching our heads after 50-year-old Kane squashed Finn Bálor without breaking into a sweat on Raw, a decision made all the more perplexing by the fact that it came not 24 hours after he had scored a clean win over soon-to-be WWE Champion AJ Styles at TLC.
Online reports have since cleared the air of ambiguity. Well, sort of. We've learned that Vince McMahon, in his infinite wisdom, has abruptly lost faith in 'The Demon King', apparently shelving plans for a title match with Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble as a result (though it's anyone's guess as to who or what will replace him).
The worst part about all of this is that it's going to be virtually impossible to hold the audience's interest in a potential Kane-Braun feud until the next Raw-exclusive pay-per-view. Instead, the likelihood is things will culminate on free television, making Finn's burial pretty much pointless.
The Irishman now faces an uphill task to make real those dreams of becoming a WWE star. There are at least six guys standing between him and the Raw throne (seven if you include Cena), and we're not anticipating a draft until after 'Mania.
It could be a long six months...
