10 Most Unique Fight Finishes In UFC History
2. Jorge Masvidal Knees His Way Into The Headlines (UFC 239)
When you knock a dude out in five seconds flat and become the holder of the fastest KO in UFC history, it would be pretty fair to label yourself and the finish in question as unique, right?
If you don't agree, I'll let you have that conversation with Jorge Masvidal on your own.
'Gamebred' entered his fight with Ben Askren at UFC 239 off the back of a huge victory over Darren Till, so his confidence was always going to be sky high.
Yet, instead of this confidence manifesting itself in a fired-up pre-bout show of self belief, Masvidal just leant on the side of the cage with his hands behind his back.
Askren was one of the best wrestlers in the sport and Masvidal knew that it would only be a matter of time before he'd shoot for a takedown.
So, as soon as the ref signalled for the fight to begin, Masvidal sprinted at Askren. Before the decorated amateur wrestler could get his hands wrapped around Masvidal, he was pounded in the head by a career-stifling flying knee.
Askren's body seized up and Masvidal - after landing a few more shots for good measure - strutted away with the lightning quick KO win.
It doesn't get much more unique than seeing a world class performer turned into an ornament before you've even had time to eat your first handful of popcorn.
