10 Most Violent AEW Wrestling Matches So Far

3. Jon Moxley Vs. Eddie Kingston ("I Quit" Match)

Jon Moxley made a living out of deathmatch wrestling before arriving in WWE, but this is only his first appearance on this list. His World Championship defence against Eddie Kingston from Full Gear 2020 needs to be mentioned here.

We need to mention that this match wasn't necessarily violent for its copious amount of weapon usage, but rather because both 'The Purveyor of Violence' and 'The Mad King' beat the living sh*t out of each other.

Moxley tossed a chair directly into Kingston's face at one point, however, it was Kingston who had the laugh throughout the match here. Dropping the defending champion on some thumbtacks, dousing Moxley's wounded back in rubbing alcohol, and wrapping barbed wire around himself to inflict damage on the former 'Lunatic Fringe', you could feel every ounce of emotion from Kingston that evening.

This one wasn't just about two modern-day hardcore veterans battering each other. It was about Eddie Kingston proving a point.

That Eddie physically muttered the words "I quit" was a shock that no-one saw coming. 'The War King' is never one to back down easily - the Bulldog Choke was too much for him that evening, though.
