10 No-Win WWE Situations
5. The Jason Jordan Situation
A neck injury suffered earlier this year has temporarily taken some of the spotlight away from Jason Jordan, but - unless they plan to bring him back in a few months' time under an entirely new gimmick - the debacle surrounding his character will likely persist.
Broadly speaking, WWE now has two options: it can either keep the Gold Blooded One in the role of a wholesome (and slightly whiny) 'good guy', hoping that his continued association with Kurt Angle begins to win the fans round, or turn him full heel - in effect, undoing what has come before.
Neither of these sound particularly appealing. The first is too much like the approach taken with Roman Reigns over recent years (and we all know how that turned out). The second, meanwhile, would likely mean stunting his forward momentum - it's not like he's actually going to come out on top in a feud with his old man.
Being brutally honest, the writers can only really have themselves to blame for the situation they're in here. Expecting wrestlers to get over just because the company has decided to earmark them for a push almost never works, especially when there's no build-up.
