10 Problems WWE Must Solve In The 2024 Draft

1. Is Brand Warfare Still Viable In 2024?

Here's a million dollar question, perhaps literally.

It looked for all the world like WWE would re-air the tired Raw vs. SmackDown trope when Nick Aldis was introduced as the latter show's GM. They've downplayed his rivalry with Raw's Adam Pearce a little since then, but things could kick off at any moment. There has to be a reason why these guys were at one another's throats.

Unfortunately, most fans are sick and tired of the whole brand warfare gimmick. It's so see-through - wrestlers get pretend partisan for a month or so (even wearing those gaudy red or blue t-shirts), then magically forget they ever cared about the show they're working on afterwards. Things are even more painful when workers have just been drafted but suddenly want to "go to war" for their new show anyway.

Does Raw vs. SmackDown still have a place on TV and PLE in 2024? Some sort of Aldis vs. Pearce match could work if it's handled properly, but there isn't much call for one of those Bragging Rights specials again. Survivor Series is also much better off with WarGames too.
