In the WWE Network special on the Shields Journey to SummerSlam, Dean Ambrose tells the cameras that if people ask me, pretty much, I just say that I was raised by wolves. And as cryptic as that statement is, it could be true for all we know. Theres very little information out there on Dean Ambroses pre-wrestling days, and it seems like thats the way hed like to keep it. Born in Cincinnati, and having grown up in a one of the citys rougher neighbourhoods, Ambrose remains evasive when quizzed about the subject. He admits to Canoe Sports that he doesnt have any kind of heart-breaking sob story, just a regular old lower class American upbringing. That may not be as shocking a story as some of the other entries on this list, but it does show that Ambrose nonetheless came from nothing to make it to where he is today. And with time and age on his side, who knows what heights the Lunatic Fringe could reach in the WWE.
