10 Terrible Wrestling Matches (That Should Have Been Great)

8. Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan (WWE WrestleMania XXVIII)

Nobody even had the chance to be bored during WrestleMania XXVIII's opening match, and that's why it was bloody terrible.

Sheamus beat Daniel Bryan in just 18 seconds to become the new World Heavyweight Champion, and the live crowd in Florida could hardly believe it was over before most had taken their seats. The fact Bryan (one of WWE's best workers) didn't even break a sweat in a World Title bout at WrestleMania is shocking, and the situation becomes even more depressing when reading about the high hopes both men had for their match in Daniel's autobiography; according to Bryan, he and Sheamus had been looking forward to something special after being relegated to the pre-show at 'Mania XXVII the previous year.

Not only were they robbed of working a match both were clearly passionate about, so were the fans. What should have been a hot opening to set the tone for 2012's biggest show turned into an insult to Sheamus, Bryan and anyone who cared about their match going in.
