Anyone who paid close attention to those animated shorts WWE ran for a month or so would've spotted a creepy-looking figure who wore suits, a top hat and glasses. That was the titular 'Dark Father' Black spoke of during his vignettes.

Get this: 'Father' was based on a real person.

Al told fans on Twitch that the character's look was inspired by somebody in real life. That's a little terrifying, especially when one considers how close to the nightmarish Bababook monster those sketches were. The 'Dark Father' was tall, angular and threatening - he had piercing white eyes and towered over everybody else.

Christ knows who Black was mimicking when he came up with that one. He did also say that the Babadook movie was a key inspiration for the shorts generally, so maybe the real-life 'Father' isn't quite as scary as the animated one.
