Aleister Black had grand plans for that 'Dark Father' character before his WWE release.

Aleister Black's WWE release was as big a shock to him as it was to the wider pro wrestling world.

Word on the street is that budget cuts were responsible for WWE ripping up the man's contract, but he's a creative soul who'll flourish outside the company. AEW, New Japan and the independent circuit (whenever live crowds return in droves) are all possible destinations for the reborn Tommy End.

Despite playing a guarded, mysterious character for years on WWE TV, Black opened up to fans via Twitch shortly after news broke that he was a free agent. The stream included more details about his release, future plans and what Aleister had in mind for his old employer before they cut him loose.

Some of the pitches he made were wild, and you need to read about them.

It's disheartening that WWE could cast someone so creative aside, especially when one learns what Black wanted to do with his recent 'Tales Of The Dark Father' gimmick. Indeed, his WWE career was very much a case of what might've been.

Here's everything we learned from his candid outpouring on Twitch...

10. He Wants To Shoot A Documentary

Black won't let that WWE release drag him down.

He revealed to fans that there's a new Tommy End t-shirt in the works, and that he's been discussing ideas with his wife (ex-WWE star Zelina Vega) about characters the pair can work going forwards. Plus, Black is putting plans in place to shoot a documentary about his return to wrestling post-WWE.

The man's measured and introspective personality should make that a compelling watch, so it's one to look out for over the next 12 months or so. Black also revealed that there's a good chance his old 'Sumerian Death Squad' stable could hit the independent circuit again when that's possible.

The doc is in those crucial early planning stages - there's no word from Aleister on a run time, what it'd involve or who'd pop up as a guest star. For now, he's just keen to keep moving and try to bounce back from a surprising release.
