One of Angle's greatest feuds in WWE came against the late, great Eddie Guerrero, The program was a long one, lasting well over eight months as the two fought over the WWE Championship and then for personal pride. Eight months is a long time to be working with an individual, and needless to say tempers flared up from time to time.

Angle tells the story that Eddie was growing increasingly frustrated with his body, and that he felt Angle was working too stiff with him. He would frequently square up to Angle and confront him about this, something Angle tried to deal with calmly. One day this all got too much for Kurt, and he offered Eddie outside (as the saying goes).

Needless to say, the Olympic gold medallist in wrestling won the fight. Eddie went for a double-leg takedown, which left him open to choking. Kurt did the honours, and it was clear that a winner had been found. It was Big Show of all people who stopped the scuffle, picking both men up by their wrestling gear and separating them.

JBL then turned to Eddie and said; 'why would you try and double leg an Olympic gold medallist?'

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
