10 Things We Learned From WWE Photo Shoot: Shane McMahon

5. He Was Always Keen To Pay His Dues

When Photo Shoot saw Shane McMahon talking about his in-ring debut against Mick Foley, Shane talked about how he didn’t feel justified in being in the ring with Foley and how he hadn’t paid his dues.

So many others in that situation – as in, their father owns the company – may be tempted to get carried away with things and just see their status as the boss’ son meaning that they are entitled to a spot on TV and a spot in the ring. For Shane O’Mac, this was not the case.

Despite having been involved with WWE in some capacity for 16 years by the time he made his in-ring bow in 1998, Shane was still determined to not take anything for granted as he looked to constantly prove himself to the rest of the locker room – something which you could argue is a possible reason for some of the insane stunts and spots Shane McMahon has done over the years.
