3. Vs The Undertaker At WrestleMania

In the last couple years, we have seen
a lot of discussion about WWE bringing Sting in to challenge The Undertaker at WrestleMania. It has been talked about for a while now, and while it obviously hasn't happened yet, there are still those who clamor for it, even after Taker's undefeated streak was broken. If we would have seen Sting show up in the early 2000's, we could have seen Sting VS Taker at Mania when it actually would have been a good match, with the proper amount of build, and the right amount of excitement. The catch, of course, is "The Streak" not being anywhere near as major and as hyped in 2001 and 2002 as it was in, say, 2011 and 2012. With each passing year, and another victim being added to Taker's list, "The Streak" grew and grew in mystique. That doesn't even mention the fact that Taker wasn't "Deadman" Taker until 2004. Yes, it still would have been Taker VS Sting if he was the "American Badass", but if we're being honest with ourselves... that damn sure isn't the Taker we all wanted to see against Sting. Therefore, the match would have had to wait for at least a couple years, which is fine. That would give the WWE fans an opportunity to get to know and love Sting. Not all of them watched WCW, so that would be their time to "catch up" on him and his work. That is key, as many fans today feel Sting's inclusion on television as a part of the upcoming WWE 2K15 video game hasn't been met with the right enthusiasm because a lot of current WWE fans don't know who he is (too young to have watched WCW, and don't watch TNA). If you poll wrestling fans on the biggest "missed opportunity" match of all-time, Taker VS Sting at WrestleMania will be right up there at the top of the list. Had Sting arrived in the "Land of Titan" over a decade ago, the match more than likely would have become reality.
