10 Things WWE Must Do This Summer
4. Promote A Pay-Per-View In The UK
Presenting a fully-fledged pay-per-view on British shores is the next logical step for WWE following the success of the United Kingdom Championship tournament on the Network; critically acclaimed and complete with a unique atmosphere, the UK event offered something different to the usual fare offered on the WWE Network.
Time difference can't be used as a barrier or excuse in 2017, because WWE successfully promoted the 'Beast In The East' show in Japan on 4 July 2015. The very nature of the Network allows for this kind of thing, and the United Kingdom is a country begging for such a move from WWE.
It doesn't need to be SummerSlam, as people would lap up a secondary event such as Money In The Bank or Battleground. Should it be the latter, WWE's creative minds could even dream up an elaborate set that incorporates the war-torn past Britain has had.
Clearly, the UK is crying out for a WWE pay-per-view, and has been since exclusive events like Rebellion were shelved. Brits aren't as wrestle-starved as they once were, but there remains that burning desire to see a major WWE event played out on UK soil.
