4. That He Couldn't Deliver A Good Main Event With Scott Steiner
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEUYLGBubHQ Arm wrestling and posedowns? Is that the right way to build up a World Title feud for a guy that was considered a main eventer? It sure didn't seem like it when that was the focus of the Triple H/Scott Steiner feud in early 2003. When they had their first match at Royal Rumble 2003 it wasn't very good either. There wasn't any chemistry between them. It seemed like Steiner was just out there to throw the same suplexes over and over. Hunter did all he could to make it work, but it just didn't work. Then they had another match at No Way Out 2003, which was very average. The only good thing about is that when Hunter won it meant the boring feud was over. Steiner was never considered a main eventer again. I think where they went wrong was bringing in Steiner as a babyface. The guy was a very good heel in WCW. He didn't have the personality or gimmick of a babyface. He wasn't able to adapt when he got to WWE. It also felt like Hunter wasn't too thrilled to be working with him either. Plus, the arm wrestling and posedowns were stupid ways to build up to a major championship match.
