10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Seth Rollins

Whilst it now seems that major independent stars getting snapped up by WWE are allowed to keep their names when arriving in the company, this wasn't the case when Seth Rollins was signed way back in 2010. It wasn't exactly commonplace for indy stars to be signed full stop, and once they were on TV they didn't carry enough cache to keep their existing ring names.

Before Dean Ambrose was Dean Ambrose he was Jon Moxley, and before Seth Rollins became Seth Rollins he was none other than former Ring of Honor World Champion Tyler Black. Well, before all of that he was actually a wrestler named Gixx, but we'll forget that.

Along with the top ROH strap Black was also a two-time tag champion in the company with WWE writer and creator of The List, Jimmy Jacobs. Black had great matches with Austin Aries, Nigel McGuinness, Roderick Strong and others, and whilst many of his peers are now in WWE Tyler Black is no longer with us.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
