9. Rookie Of The Year

Perro Aguayo Jr. debuted in 1995 at the age of only 15 and showed everyone that he could be every bit as good as his father was. AAA threw him in at the deep end, booking him opposite Mexico's biggest stars to see how he would handle himself. It was a test, a test that Perro Aguayo Jr. passed with flying colours. It must have been daunting for him, but he managed to hold his own out there against some intimidating guys. In Mexico, especially during that era, it was not uncommon for guys (especially babyfaces/tecnicos) to have to take their share of the match and fight for offense. Aguayo would have been no stranger to in-ring scraps during this period. Aguayo Jr. had some great matches in 1995, especially with the promising Juventud Guerrera (who would soon gain notoriety thanks to his performances in ECW). Aguayo's performances in AAA lead the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer to award Perro Aguayo Jr. the Rookie of the Year award for 1995.
