10 Times Wrestlers Thought They Were Fired For Sure

What is it with Dark Order members and the fear of the sack?

Yet while John Silver's dread of being fired came out of a rather ridiculous turn of events, Stu Grayson and Evil Uno both worried about their AEW futures due to a much more serious change in circumstance.

As the global health crisis began to grip the wrestling industry, the Dark Order boys felt as though their spots in AEW could be in jeopardy due to the fact that travel restrictions - with them both living in Canada - meant they would struggle to make it to tapings for several months in the early days of the pandemic.

In the end though, the pair got into the routine of travelling to Florida every two weeks and quarantining in their time away from the company. But for a time it wasn't clear whether AEW would be able to afford to keep stars incapable of making it to TV on the books in such an unprecedented moment.

Thankfully, Tony Khan retained much of his star-studded roster during those trying times, and the Dark Order is now one of the most talked about units the company has to offer.
